“The Man Who Changed Face Of Indian Cricket,” Twitter Floods With Wishes As Sachin Turns 49

Sachin Tendulkar, the legendary former Indian cricketer celebrated his 49th birthday yesterday and the social media sites were flooded with best wishes for Little Master. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest cricketers of all times and it won’t be wrong to say that he is an inspiration not for just aspiring Indian cricketers but also for many young cricketers from other countries.

Sachin Tendulkar made his international debut in the year 1989 when he was just 16 years old and slowly he became an integral part of the team. There was a time when the Indian cricket squad was all about Sachin Tendulkar and there were many cricket lovers who used to switch off the TV after Master Blaster got dismissed in a match. Sachin also served team India as a skipper but he gave up his captaincy soon as the team didn’t perform well under him. He was a part of the 2011 ICC World Cup winning team which was led by MS Dhoni and he also became the first cricketer to score a double ton in an ODI before he took retirement in the year 2013.

If we talk about his cricket statistics, he has played 664 international matches across all the formats in which he has scored 34,357 runs which include 100 centuries plus he has also taken 201 international wickets. What Sachin Tendulkar means to the Indian cricket lovers can be understood by the fact that majority of them consider him the God of cricket and he is one of the most respected Indians of the present times.

Sachin Tendulkar has also been awarded with the highest civilian award Bharat Ratna in the year 2014 and he is involved in many social service activities as well.
