A recent war of words between Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and a journalist named Justin Rao grabbed several eyeballs. Now the Press Club of India has condemned Kangana’s act in a statement. The club issued a declaration in which they termed the actress’ behavior “unacceptable” and supported the entertainment journalists who have decided to boycott her.
“We, the Press Club of India are aghast, anguished and shocked at the incident involving an actress of Bollywood using uncivilized, uncultured, filthy and abusive language against the Media persons. We condemn it in the strongest possible words. This behavior and hurling abuses towards journalists are unacceptable,” the statement reads.

We support the decision of the boycott by the journalists covering the entertainment industry in Mumbai namely Entertainment Journalists Guild. We extend our support to the Mumbai Press Club for undertaking thorough inquiry of the matter.
Lastly, we, the Press Club of India wish to appeal to the saner and civilized members of the Bollywood to prevail upon these uncivilized, uncultured and unruly elements and entities of their industry. We hope and expect that the sanity and wisdom will prevail.
The controversy queen of Bollywood Kangana Ranaut on Monday, 8 July, got into a war of words with a journalist at the music launch event of her upcoming Judgementall Hai Kya. The National Award Winning actress accused a reporter of giving negative reviews to her movie Manikarnika and she also claimed he is running a “smear campaign” against her.
After that, the Entertainment Journalists’ Guild of India has decided to boycott Kangana. The Guild also demanded a public apology from Kangana as well as her upcoming film’s producer Ekta Kapoor.
