Yeah, I live in Kolkata and know very well how naming this place is also considered a taboo here. It is used as slang over here in Kolkata, to live or even name the place. And, as a young kid entering into adolescent I remember, while going to school how my parents used to say, don’t look over there, that’s not a good area, bad people live there.

Only to realize later, we as a whole society, the government, have made them bad and their life hell. It is Sonagachi, we are talking about the largest brothel in Asia. And, today I really good, when I have been able to do at least some thing good to them, and now Mintifed in association with The Logical Indian came up with these poster, which speaks aloud the agony of being a PROSTITUTE.
