“Andaz Apna Apna” is certainly one of the most loved comedy movies of all times, however what is surprising is the fact that the flick didn’t perform well on the box-office at that time but at present, it has got the status of a cult classic.
The 1994 released movie was directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and it starred Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Paresh Rawal and Shakti Kapoor in important roles. “Andaz Apna Apna” is about two youngsters who are from middle class families but they dream of living a lavish life without doing anything and for this purpose, they try to woo the daughter of a business tycoon but things get ugly when a gangster makes an entry in their lives.
Recently in an interview, Karisma Kapoor made some interesting revelations about the film. She states that she thinks she hasn’t watched “Andaz Apna Apna” because at that time, she used to work in 3-4 shifts because of which she didn’t have the time to watch her own movie.
One funny thing that Karisma has revealed is that during the shooting of the flick, all the main lead actors (Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon and she herself) were not on talking terms and the movie was made without the lead stars interacting with each other.
Some time back, writer Dilip Shukla said in an interview that he is writing the sequel of “Andaz Apna Apna” and both the male actors (Aamir and Salman) will be a part of the sequel but no official confirmation has been made in this regard.
