Akash is deeply in sorrow from the moment he has heard the bad news about his Kaka Kalam, he loved his Kaka Kalam a lot, and in fact Kaka Kalam is his Idol. From Kaka Kalam we meant Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, who has not only had a positive influence on the adults but also the kids. He mesmerized everyone with his knowledge, humility, simplicity and he has a smile which can turn an enemy into a friend.
Akash had a medical condition called liver cirrhosis in 2009, as his father Omprakash Verma is a retired Army man, he was admitted to Army Research and Referral Hospital for the treatment.
Dr. Naidu, who was treating Akash, asked him who is his idol and in answer Akash told him Dr. Kalam. Dr. Naidu asked whether he wants to meet Dr. Kalam before his liver transplant surgery, to which Akash replied in positive. The request was forwarded to Dr. Kalam by the hospital officials, which was accepted by Dr. Kalam and he came to meet Akash.
Akash, who was in 6th standard at that time can never forget that day, Dr. Kalam spent a good amount of time with him and also presented him with a “Get Well Soon” card.
Since Akash has heard the news of Dr. Kalam’s death, he is just crying, not eating anything, he has just drunk a cup of tea since then.
Omprakash Verma wanted to pay tribute to Dr. Kalam so he visited Delhi, all the family members still remember the concern shown by Dr. Kalam for their son and supported them in their bad time. He comforted Akash and told him that he will fine very soon.
Indeed, his love for APJ Abdul Kalam cannot be described in words but he will have to accept the reality and should take care of his health because he needs to understand that if he does not eat anything and there is an adverse effect on his health, even his ideal Dr. Kalam won’t like it.
