While Aamir is one of the biggest superstars of Bollywood in the present times, there was a time when one of his films didn’t even get distributors as they refused to buy it. Do you have any idea which movie was that?

After “Qayamat se Qayamat tak”, Aamir and Juhi signed quite a few movies together but director Y. Nageshwara Rao signed Aamir with Madhuri Dixit for a movie titled as “Deewana Mujh Sa Nahin” (1989).

When the film got completed, it was screened for distributors by the makers but the distributors were not in the mood to buy the movie because they had doubts that viewers would like to see Aamir Khan with Madhuri Dixit. There were few other reasons as well because of which the distributors were not ready to buy “Deewana Mujh Sa Nahin”. Madhuri had a better role than Aamir and the movie was based on the concept of one-sided love.

As a result, the film didn’t get released for a year but in June 1990, Aamir Khan and Madhuri Dixit starrer “Dil” hit the theatres and it was a big hit at the box-office. In order to take the advantage of Aamir-Madhuri’s popularity, the distributors released “Deewana Mujh Sa Nahin” one month after the release of “Dil” but the movie performed average at the box-office.
