Just days after celebrating another major cricket milestone, Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav is reportedly preparing for a big personal moment. The 31 years old cricketer is all set to marry his childhood friend Vanshika Chadha in a private ceremony on March 14 at a resort in Mussoorie.

The wedding comes shortly after Kuldeep was part of the Indian team that achieved a historic feat in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. India became the first side to win the tournament in back-to-back editions and also the first to lift the trophy on home soil. The victory marked the team’s third title overall, making India the most successful side in the competition’s history.

Although Kuldeep Yadav was included in the squad, he featured in only one match during the tournament. The team preferred Varun Chakaravarthy as the main spin option for most games. Still, Kuldeep made a strong impact when he got his opportunity. Playing against Pakistan in Colombo, the left-arm wrist spinner delivered an impressive performance, finishing with figures of 1/14 as India secured a dominant 61-run win.

Reports suggest that several of Kuldeep’s teammates from the Indiam team, along with officials from the BCCI, are expected to attend the wedding celebration.
After the personal celebrations, Kuldeep Yadav will soon return to competitive cricket. He is scheduled to play in the Indian Premier League 2026, where his team Delhi Capitals begins its campaign on April 1 against Lucknow Super Giants in Lucknow.

Meanwhile, former India selector Devang Gandhi believes Kuldeep could play a bigger role for India in the near future, especially with attention gradually shifting toward the ODI format ahead of next year’s ICC Cricket World Cup.

Devang Gandhi explained that performances in upcoming matches will be crucial for players looking to secure a place in the World Cup squad. He also feels Kuldeep could be a better spin option in conditions like South Africa, where pitches often provide extra bounce that suits his style of bowling, even if it sometimes comes at the cost of a few runs.
Congratulations to Kuldeep Yadav and Vanshika Chadha in advance!
