A Sikh man regards his turban as something extremely holy and pious or in other words, he loves his turban more than his life. And needless to say, they are filled with a sense of pride and honor while wearing it. However, it would shock you that this Sikh named Harman Singh aged 22 put off his turban without even thinking for a moment.

The news comes from Auckland city of New Zealand where he lives. Harman was at his home; he suddenly heard the noise of car wheels screeching and immediately hurried to the spot for investigation.

To quote his words, “I saw a child down on the ground and a lady was holding him. His head was bleeding, so I unveiled my turban and put it under his head.”

He added, “I wasn’t thinking about the turban. I was thinking about the accident and I just thought, ‘He needs something on his head because he’s bleeding.’ That’s my job – to help.

And I think anyone else would have done the same as me.”

Further, Harman stated, “The little boy, he was talking to us before his mum came. He wasn’t crying. But when his mum arrived – when he saw her – he started to cry, because she was crying.”

His act is admired by Indian community members who regarded it as immensely important deed for the sake of humanity, even though he had to break strict and typical religious protocol for providing assistance to a stranger. This accident took place before 9:00 am at Manuroa Rd.

This indeed is a great action on the part of Harman and certainly such are the conducts which show that humanity is still alive! Speaking of the kid, he was taken to the hospital, treated well and now his condition is better.

Shouldn’t Harman have done what he did? Is it a sinful act on his part? Share your views regarding the issue in the comments section below!
