Police arrested a costume assistant on the charges of making videos of a TV actress in the changing room. A camera mobile phone was founded by a 49 year old TV actress which was properly placed below her make-up table and it had videos in which she was not properly dressed. Abdul Qayyum Ansari, 24 years old was arrested by the police and later on released by magistrate court on bail.

On July 8, actress was shooting for a show in a bungalow in Madh, at 9 PM she came to changing room after pack up, when she noticed a mobile phone behind a dustbin under the table. She called a female hairdresser and instructed her to check if by mistake someone left the phone here, the hairdresser gave the phone to the actress and she find out that phone is in video-recording mode. When she checked the videos she was shocked as it contained videos in which she is seen changing dress.

Police officer told that “On finding out that the phone was Ansari’s, the actress asked him how the handset had landed up in her changing room. Ansari claimed that he had left it there for charging, but she pointed out that there was no switchboard beneath the make-up table. She went through the videos again and noticed that in one of them Ansari was placing the phone in her room. The actress confronted him and he eventually confessed.”

Ansari apologized and begged in front of actress, not to file a complaint against him, he also gave an apology in black and white to the Production Manager of the Television show.

Artists association has received the complaint from the actress and on the night of Friday, she gave Ansari’s phone and memory card to the Malwani Police and told the Police that she is afraid that videos may have been used for wrong purposes.

A complaint was registered by Police, under Section 354 (C) of IPC and Ansari was arrested in Saturday.

Ansari’s lawyer Kshitij Mehta said, “Ansari was released on a bond of Rs 15000 with a cash deposit of Rs 7,000.”
