This year Gandhi Jayanti, October 2, brought a treat for movie buffs as three big movies hit the theatres yesterday. Quite naturally, it was a perfect day on the part of the makers as they would get the benefit of the holiday and the same happened as Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer “War” created history with the brilliant figures of ₹ 53.35 crore. It is the highest opening for the filmy career of both Hrithik and Tiger so far. Not just this, it is also the highest opening for any Hindi movie as well as the highest opening on any national holiday.

“War” has beaten “Thugs of Hindostan” with a good margin in spite of the fact that it got released on lesser number of screens.
