Truck Strike- It Rains Memes As EV Owners Beam With Joy Over Lack Of Fuel In Petrol Pumps

Memers at work

The road transportation system came to a halt for almost 2 days as truck drivers decided to hit the roads without their trucks in order to protest against the new proposed “Hit-and-Run” law which introduces a possibility of 10-yr imprisonment or a fine of up to Rs. 7 lakhs for the drivers who run away after hitting the person with their vehicles.

The truck associations went on indefinite strike and it created a problematic situation as the supply of necessary items such as vegetables, fruits, petrol, diesel, LPG, etc. stopped completely and there was panic among the citizens.

The petrol and diesel vehicle owners were very upset and worried as their work and daily activities would come to halt without fuel because of which we saw huge lines at petrol stations in the last two days. However, even in such an unfavourable situation, there were some people who were completely relaxed and happy and they were the owners of electric vehicles.

The electric vehicles are charged with electricity by their owners at home so they were not at all concerned with the non-availability of petrol or diesel and this gave a chance to meme makers to come up with creative memes on this issue.

Well, the good news is that the strike has come to an end as the government has assured that the law hasn’t been enforced as of now and before enforcing it, the government will first have a discussion with the truck associations.

One more thing which the government wants to convey is that this new law is not just for truck drivers, it is for every vehicle owner and it will be applicable to those who run away after hitting a person and leaving the victim on road instead of taking the victim to the hospital.

We need to get into the details of things before starting to protest, what do you say?
