The demonetization of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 notes has affected lives of Indians to a great extent as everybody has to take out time and visit banks for either withdrawing new currency or exchanging the old one with the new ones.

However, there is one village in Gujarat, India, which is remained unaffected by this move and it won’t be incorrect to say that this village has left behind the big cities of the country in terms of technological advancement.

We are talking of Akodara, the first digital village of the nation!

Thanks to the collaboration of government and ICICI Bank, this village is cashless.

Even for purchasing biscuits, groceries or any other item of daily needs, people make payments through an app.

Schools in Akodara teach through smartclasses and students learn to use tablets at a very early age.
