Social media sites have not only made it easier for us to keep in touch with our loved ones but also acted as a medium where we talk and express ourselves about the matters which we like or which are disturbing us. At one fell swoop, we cannot ignore the essential fact that sometimes it can become a dangerous place as people from different walks of life are present over there and some criminal minded people have no hesitation in harming the other person because of which each one of us needs to be very careful while dealing with those whom you come across on social media networks.
In a horrific incident which took place recently, a female resident has alleged that she was s*xually molested by two men who gave her cold drink laced with sedatives in a hotel situated in Shamli district, Uttar Pradesh.
The victim stated that she befriended a person on Instagram who claimed that he is a bank employee and he promised the girl that he would help her in getting a job in bank.
The accused sent his friend to meet the victim and asked her to come to Dehradun if she wanted a job. However, the accused didn’t meet the victim over there and then his friend took the girl to Thanabhavan, Shamli district where the accused came.
The girl alleged that both of them first gave her sedatives mixed cold drink and then they s*xually molested her in the hotel room.
A case has been filed on the basis of the victim’s complaint and the police has started a probe in the matter.
