Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela has often been at the center of controversy regarding dating rumours involving Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant but she has firmly denied these claims. The actress stated that memes and gossip circulating on the Internet are based on unfounded information. Urvashi also spoke about how these persistent rumours have affected her life.
While speaking to a news channel, the actress stated that the constant rumours and memes of her link-up with Rishabh Pant are completely baseless and she likes to keep her personal life private. She made it clear that her focus is on her work and she is passionate about it. Urvashi further talked about the importance of dealing with such matter in a transparent manner and it shouldn’t be left for speculation. She further expressed her sense of surprise over the fact that meme pages get so excited about her and RP.
The actress further said that she always tries to focus on her work and personal growth but still dealing with baseless rumours and constant scrutiny of her personal life is challenging for her. However, she adds that she chooses to deal with such rumours with clarity and also tries to keep herself surrounded with positive people and this further helps her in staying grounded and focused.
The dating speculations intensified in 2022 when Urvashi mentioned that someone with the initials “RP” waited for her for hours but she was not able to meet him as she was tired and went to sleep. After this, many assumed that she was referring to Rishabh Pant, the Indian cricketer. Additionally, her cryptic social media posts about love and heartbreak, coupled with the fact that she was in Australia around the same time as Rishabh Pant for India’s cricket matches fueled further speculation. However, Urvashi later clarified that the “RP” she was referring to was her co-star Ram Pothineni and not cricketer Rishabh Pant.
On the professional front, Urvashi has an exciting lineup of projects. She will appear in “NBK109” alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna and in “Baap” directed by Ahmed Khan. She is also set to star in “Welcome to the Jungle” with Akshay Kumar and has a role in “Kasoor 2” as well. Recently, Urvashi made a special appearance in Ananya Panday’s series “Call Me Bae” in which she played the role of a Bollywood actress.
