The Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has been an integral part of team India for a long time now but to the surprise of many former Indian cricketers and fans, the team management preferred veteran cricketer Dinesh Karthik over Rishabh Pant in the very important clash between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2022.
However, Rishabh Pant still made waves on social media networks as Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela was also seen in the stadium cheering for the Indian squad.
Some time back, the cricketer and the actress got engaged in a battle of words on social media platforms and all this started after Urvashi Rautela stated in an interview that a person whom she referred to as “Mr. RP” called her many times and waited for hours to meet her but she couldn’t meet him because of her busy schedule. She further said that out of respect she called him back and asked him to meet her in Mumbai but at that time things became uncomfortable because mediapersons gathered around them.
Though Urvashi didn’t take the name, everyone understood that it was for Rishabh Pant because in 2018, there was news that they both were dating. However, they soon got separated as well as reports suggested that they mutually blocked each other on the messaging platform WhatsApp.
Rishabh Pant responded to this interview by making a post in which he didn’t take any person’s name but said that some people can do anything to get publicity and used hashtags – #merapichachorhobehen and #Jhutkibhilimithotihai.
While Rishabh Pant deleted his post, Urvashi Rautela made a post in which she called RP as ‘chotu bhaiya’ and advised him to focus on his game and also warned him not to take advantage of a silent girl.

India defeated Pakistan in its first match of the Asia Cup by 5 wickets and Hardik Pandya was adjudged as the Player of the Match for his superb all-round performance.
