Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey were shooting for Meghna Gulzar’s upcoming movie ‘Chhapaak’.
Deepika surprised her fans on 25th March by disclosing her look from Chhapaak. Deepika as Malti in Chhapaak’s first look was completely unrecognisable and seemed like it’s Laxmi herself portraying the character.
‘Chhapaak’ is based on the story of Laxmi Agarwal who is an acid attack survivor and is actively engrossed in trying to enforce strict rules by the government to prevent the sale of acids in local shops. Vikrant Massey is portraying the character of Laxmi’s husband. Many pictures were leaked while the duo was shooting for the upcoming flick in Delhi.
Vikrant Massey who is playing the character of Laxmi’s husband was before seen in movies like Dil Dhakdne Do, Half Girlfriend and Lootera. Recently he was seen in the magnificent web series Mirzapur.
Well, Vikrant Massey wasn’t the first choice for the movie and you will be astonished to know Rajkumar Rao was the first choice for the character of Laxmi’s husband.

But the actor couldn’t take the project as he had some issues with the date. Recently in a chat show, Rajkumar said ‘I didn’t turn the project down, loved the script but my dates were messed up. I am personally looking forward to the movie. I kept on telling Deepika and Meghna that it’s my loss’.
“Chhapaak” is all set to hit the theatres on January 10, 2020.
