The 23 years old cricketer Shubman Gill is all over the news and social media platforms after he scored a double century in the first ODI of 3-match series against New Zealand. With this double ton, he has become the youngest cricketer to score a double century and the fifth Indian cricketer to achieve this milestone.
Many cricket fans and experts believe that with the double ton, Shubman Gill has confirmed his place in the Indian squad that will play the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 which will take place in India. Prior to that, Ishan Kishan also scored a double hundred against Bangladesh in the third and the final ODI and it seems that the Indian youngsters are leaving no stone unturned in proving themselves.
Well, whether Shubman Gill will be a part of the Indian squad for the World Cup or not, time will tell but today we are going to tell you about a funny banter that took place between the former skipper of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill.
Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill share a good camaraderie which is often visible on the field and off-the-field as well. Recently, Shubman Gill took to Instagram and posted an image from a photoshoot for a brand, while he wrote about everything in detail, he didn’t write anything about the watch he was wearing.

Virat Kohli asked Shubman Gill in the comment, “And watch by who?”
To this, the young Indian cricketer responded with, “By courtesy of the king (crown emoji)”. By King, Shubman Gill was referring to Virat Kohli as his fans also call him ‘King Kohli’.
Now they both will be seen in the 3rd and the final ODI of the series against New Zealand which will be played at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. India is already leading by 2-0 in the series and the team will try its best to whitewash the series but the visitors will also like to end the series on a high note by winning the match. There may be some changes in the Indian squad as they may prefer to give chance to some new players in view of the fact that India has already taken an unassailable lead.
