Vivek Oberoi is one of the most popular actors of the Indian film industry as he has worked not just in Hindi movies but also in southern language films. He has also seen a lot of ups and downs in his career especially because of the brawl that he had with the Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
Presently, Vivek Oberoi is enjoying his married life with Priyanka Alva and has two kids with her, Vivaan Veer and Ameya Nirvana but do you know there was a time when he didn’t want to get married?
Vivek Oberoi dated Aishwarya Rai for a brief period when they worked together in “Kyun Ho Gaya Na” in 2004 but they broke up soon and after the break-up, Vivek did not want to get into any serious relationship, leave aside marriage. However, Vivek’s mother persuaded him to meet Priyanka and fortunately things fell in place for both of them.
During an interview, Vivek Oberoi stated that he was in no mood to get into a relationship or tie the knot as it is complicated, he was partying and getting his fatherly emotions satisfied by his nieces and nephews. But his mother asked him to meet Priyanka and promised that if he didn’t like her, she would never ask him to meet any other girl.
In another interview, Vivek Oberoi revealed that first his aunt (mausi) met Priyanka and it was she who suggested that he (Vivek) should meet Priyanka. Vivek said that Priyanka was doing MBA in New York at that time and the meeting was arranged by the relatives.
He said that his mother had tried a lot to persuade him to get married in the past but he always refused. He added that one day when he came home, his mother was looking at the photo, she showed him and said that she is quite pretty and he has to meet her.
Vivek and Priyanka who belongs to a political family of Karnataka tied the knot in 2010 and since then they are happily married.
