Vivek Oberoi has responded to Salman Khan’s recent comments against social media trolling, choosing to keep the focus on positivity rather than revisit his long-publicised equation with the superstar.

During an interview, Vivek Oberoi was asked about the constant discussions and trolling surrounding Salman Khan. Instead of dwelling on negativity, the actor said that there are many positive things in life to focus on and questioned why people should spend their time talking about negative matters.
Salman recently addressed the issue during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss. He questioned the mentality behind online trolling and said people should focus on their own lives and families instead of continuously targeting others.
The superstar also spoke out against body-shaming women after pregnancy. His comments appeared to refer to the trolling faced by his close friend and former co-star Katrina Kaif over her post-pregnancy weight gain.

Without directly naming Katrina, Salman Khan questioned why a woman should be targeted simply because she gained weight after giving birth. He pointed out that weight gain during and after pregnancy is normal and said that when she returns to films, she can get fit again. He also suggested that she may currently want to spend time with her family.
Salman Khan further criticised the practice of body-shaming and age-shaming celebrities on social media, describing such trolling as unnecessary and inappropriate. Vivek, meanwhile, has previously spoken about a difficult period in his life when his relationship with Salman became a major topic of public discussion.

The two actors had highly publicised fallout in 2003. At the time, Vivek Oberoi, who was associated with Aishwarya Rai, held a press conference and alleged that Salman Khan had threatened him over the phone. Vivek claimed that Salman had repeatedly called him and objected to his relationship with Aishwarya, who had reportedly been in a relationship with Salman earlier.
Despite the controversy that followed, Vivek has said over the years that he prefers to move forward and concentrate on the positive aspects of his life.
