The young Indian cricketer Ishan Kishan is certainly a name to look for as in his short career he has made quite a few achievements including the addition of his name in the list of the players who have scored double centuries in ODIs.
Ishan Kishan was included in India’s World Cup 2023 squad also but he didn’t play many games and in the 5-match T20I series against Australia which took place just after the World Cup 2023, he was rested for the last two games after playing the first three games.
The decision of resting Ishan Kishan in the last two matches didn’t go well with the former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja and he asked whether Ishan Kishan was really so tired that he was rested after playing three T20Is against Australia. Ajay Jadeja added that Ishan Kishan didn’t play much in the World Cup 2023 despite the fact that he deserved the first few matches in the tournament considering the fact that not many Indian cricketers have a double hundred to their name.
Ajay Jadeja further added that Ishan Kishan played only three matches out of five and if things continue in the same manner in the future as well, how Ishan Kishan will ensure that he is completely ready.
Talking about India’s defeat in the finals of the World Cup 2023 against Australia, the former Indian cricketer stated that Australia had a flexible approach as they changed their number 3 batter based on the opening partnership but India stuck with a set plan. He added that flexibility in approach helped the Aussies in making a plan and winning the match.
