The sudden d*mise of popular model-actress Poonam Pandey has sent shockwaves in the movie industry and among her fans as well. The actress was best known for playing bold characters and for her hot photoshoots which made many of her fans go crazy for her. It is being said that Poonam Pandey was suffering from cervical cancer and she took her last breath on the night of Thursday (Feb 1).
The news of her d*mise was shared by her team through her official Instagram account. The post read, “This morning is a tough one for us. Deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living form that ever came in contact with her was met with pure love and kindness. In this time of grief, we would request for privacy while we remember her fondly for all that we shared.”

Recently when the three ministers of the Maldives government made insulting remarks against the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, she cancelled her trip to Maldives. Poonam Pandey was supposed to go for a shoot to Maldives but she chose to cancel it at the last moment in order to show solidarity with her PM and countrymen.
However, there have been times when her name got attached with controversies as well and once the actress admitted that she created controversies in order to gain attention.
First time she created controversy in 2011 by declaring that she will strip naked if the Indian team would win the final match of the ODI World Cup. Since then, she created many controversies including her bathroom video in which she was seen dancing naked.
In 2016, during an interview, the “Nasha” actress admitted that she creates controversies to get recognition in the industry. She said that she saw many girls have worked with the Khans and the Kapoors but no one recognizes them as the Khans and the Kapoors are only getting recognized. She thought that in such a scenario, it would be very difficult to get recognition especially when she has no filmy background so she came up with the idea of creating controversies as it might help her in fulfilling her purpose of getting recognized.
