Superhero movies have more chances of receiving good response at the box-office in comparison to the movies of other genre. Deadpool created a lot of buzz after its trailer was released and it was estimated that its collection would range between $65 and $70 million in its opening weekend; however, it has surprised everyone by earning record high amount of $135 million in its opening weekend.
Not only this, its opening day collections were also record high as it earned $47.5 million on Friday alone which is the best collection so far for any r-rated movie.
Considering the fact that Deadpool is not as popular superhero as Superman, Batman or Spiderman, the response that it has got on the box-office is quite surprising. If we check out the numbers, Superman earned $116 million; Batman earned $48 million while Spiderman was able to earn $114 million in their opening weekends and Deadpool has crossed not only these three but all the other superheroes as well in terms of collection.
