Woahh! Mithali Raj To Get This Luxurious Car For Her Outstanding Performance In Cricket!

Yesterday, the women’s team gave a tough fight to England in the finals and even though they didn’t win, they deserve all the appreciation. We can’t deny the fact that they showed the best of their performance. Losing is a part and parcel of the game and we all need to accept it wholeheartedly, right?

When a stellar performance is displayed, gifts are obvious. Mithali Raj, the captain of the Women’s cricket team, is all set to receive a big gift i.e. a car. Any guesses which car? Well, it’s a BMW and she would be receiving it from Chamundeswaranath, Telangana Badminton Association’s vice-president.

He is very impressed with her performance and hence, he thought to give this gift. Chamundeswaranath has already gifted cars to many sportspersons. Some of the names include Sakshi Mallik, PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap.

Even in the year 2007, Mithali had received a Chevrolet car from Chamundeswaranath. However, after seeing the team’s fabulous performance in the World Cup match yesterday, he said that Mithali deserves a bigger car because she has led the team really well.

In an interview with TOI, Chamundeswaranath said,

“Mithali has been a great influence on Indian cricket. The way she has led the side is remarkable. For a number of years she has been the leading light of the Indian women’s cricket.”

He has organized a felicitation function; very soon, the date and venue will be announced. Chamundeswaranath is very happy with Mithali and said that he will present this car because she has shown outstanding performance in the last 17 years.

On the other hand, her mentor-cum-coach R.S.R Murthy said that even Indian Railways has planned something for the team. Want to know what? Well, they have taken the decision of giving a surprise promotion to all 10 members of the team.

We are glad to know that the efforts of these girls are being appreciated.
