A noticeable change is taking place in Bollywood and according to Yami Gautam, it has a lot to do with the success of her husband Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar franchise. She believes the industry is finally moving in a positive direction, with a stronger focus on storytelling and filmmaking basics.

In a recent interaction, Yami Gautam shared that films have always been driven by directors and strong scripts. She explained that the recent success shows audiences are not just interested in big numbers but want meaningful and well-made films. According to her, the industry had been struggling to bring people back to theatres, experimenting with different ideas, but the response to Dhurandhar proves that viewers are ready to return if the content is engaging. She added that audiences are now more willing to watch films repeatedly if they truly enjoy them.

Talking about whether success has changed them personally, Yami Gautam made it clear that both she and Aditya Dhar have remained grounded. She described Aditya as someone who stays humble and unaffected regardless of success. Having seen him through different phases, she highlighted that they have faced both highs and lows without letting frustration take over.
Yami also spoke about the importance of spirituality in their lives. She shared that they strongly believe in gratitude and faith, and feel that good outcomes come in time, even if there are delays along the way.

On the work front, Yami Gautam is preparing for her next film, Nayyi Navelli, a horror-comedy expected to offer something fresh to audiences. The movie will release in theatres first and later stream on Prime Video, giving it a wider reach after its theatrical run.
