For a moment, it felt as if Chris Gayle will break Yuvraj’s record of fastest fifty in limited overs cricket but he managed to equalize it only, on Monday in the Big Bash League match. Yuvraj has scored the fastest fifty in 2007 when he played 12 balls for his half-century.
The West Indian scored 56 runs in 17 balls which included seven sixes and two fours, four sixes were hit by Chris in the first over of match when he thrashed the balling of Greg West sending him for 27 runs. Chris reached the score of 44 in just 10 balls and when it seemed that he would break the record, he was halted by an outstanding Yorker.
One player who felt sad for Chris not making the record was Yuvraj himself and he expressed his desire to see Chris making a 50 in 10 balls. He also stated that one more batsman who can achieve this feat is AB de Villiers.
I'm disappointed @henrygayle who got to fifty in 12 balls Kaka make sure u get it in ten balls next time 👊🏽or maybe @ABdeVilliers17 legends

Chris retweeted Yuvraj adding some smileys, De Villiers didn’t give a response but the best answer was given by Yuzvendra Chahal, a leg spinner as he said that he can only score 50 in 10 balls.
