It is the first time in the history of India that a sitting Prime Minister has given an interview to a private news channel and the opportunity was grabbed by India’s famous journalist, Times Now’s editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami. It was also the first one on one interview by Narendra Modi to a private news channel of India since he became Prime Minister. The interview continued for a good 85 minutes and was involved in wide range of issues starting with foreign policy, domestic issues, Raghuram Rajan’s exit, NSG deal, friendship with neighbouring countries, approach towards Pakistan & terrorism, inflation, Modi’s US Congress speech and a rebuke against Subramanian Swamy.
The highlight of the interview was Arnab Goswami congratulating Modi for his great sense of humour at the US Congress but the interview didn’t feature a single question on Vadra deals, relation with RSS, regarding the constant criticism of Arvind Kejriwal and the Delhi government.
