Superstition is a common thing in any Field and Cricket is not an Exception for this. Right from God of Cricket Sachin Tendukar to the man who is Considered as the Next Tendulkar, Virat Kohli believes in some or the other Superstition. They might sound silly for us but some of the Cricketers take them Seriously. There are different kinds of Superstitions followed by our Favourite Cricketers like Carrying Handkerchiefs , Playing with the same Jersey Number, Using the same Bat, Gloves etc.

The score of 111 and its Multiples are known as Nelson. ‘Nelson’ is extracted from the legend of Lord Nelson. He was believed to have 1 eye, 1 leg and 1 arm  and the number is believed to bring ill fate. whenever any Team scores a ‘Nelson’ David Shepherd would enact his Trademark Style of raising his leg from the Ground.

Steve Waugh one of the Best Captains of Cricket used to carry a Pink/ Red Handkerchief given to him by his Grandmother. He considered it to be Lucky.

 

 

6. Mohinder Amarnath and his Lucky Handkerchief

Mohinder Amarnath played a key role in Winning the 1983 World Cup for India. He used to carry a Red Kerchief in his Pocket throught his career when he was Fielding.

He also used his Favourite Bat with which he Scored First ODI Double Hundred in 2011 World Cup. He got it Repaired before using it in the World Cup.

15. Virat Kohli and his Lucky Pair of Gloves

Virat Kohli used to play with the same pair of Gloves with which he Started Performing well. After some time he realised that it was a Silly Thing and he stopped it.
