17-Yr Boy Raped 16-Yr Friend & Filmed The Act; Then Blackmailed Her & Raped Her Repeatedly

The excessive use of technology and less focus of parents on their kids is pushing children towards such activities that are criminal in nature as well as harmful for them in long run.

In Mumbai, a 16 years old girl has been raped by a 17 years old boy and two other teenagers for months as they used to threaten her of posting online the video clip that they shot while raping her.

On Saturday, the boy was arrested by the police and booked under POCSO act but as the accused is also minor, he was presented before the Juvenile Justice Board and sent to observation home.

The police is looking for the other two accused and will like to investigate the case before deciding whether they should recommend the trial of teenager as an adult or not.

The girl’s father filed a complaint at Kurla police station after he came to know about an obscene MMS featuring his daughter. A source told,

“He was told that his daughter has been trapped and is being exploited. He immediately grilled his daughter, who broke down and narrated her ordeal.”

The girl told that few months ago, the boy and his neighbour became her friends while she was on the way to her school. One evening, they took her to the terrace and raped her. The heinous crime was recorded and she was threatened that if she talked about it to anyone, the clip would be circulated. He started exploiting the girl on the basis of the clip on regular intervals.

The source further told,

“The accused had been exploiting her since, but the crime got more sinister as recently, a few other boys from the locality approached her one after the other with the video and began exploiting her.”

The police is investigating as to how the other boys got their hands on the clip.

In the beginning, the girl’s father was very hesitant in filing the complaint but police officials convinced him that his daughter would not have to appear in court several times and her statement before the magistrate would be enough to send the accused behind the bars. The father filed a complaint after a lot of convincing and assurances from the elders of the society.

He told TOI,

“Our entire family is shattered by the news. I have not slept for the last two nights and have been taking medicines.”

Kurla senior inspector Lalasaheb Shetye said,

“As per the girl’s complaint, we have arrested one minor boy, and the case is being probed. A medical test has been done on the girl and we are awaiting reports in a day or two.”

There is a rise in the number of cases in which the minors are accused and this is definitely a serious concern not just for the police but the society as well because it confirms that our youth is not on the right path.
