Dear Zindagi had released 4 unique teasers, depicting 4 unique messages on life; this was the reason why audience went crazy behind the movie. The film was made on a very small budget, but still makers expected success, since it starred SRK. On Saturday and Sunday, the occupancy jumped to 90 percent and it collected 32.50 crores on the 1st weekend, but numbers went super-low on Monday, as occupancy dropped by 50 percent.
On Monday, the movie could mint just Rs 4.25 crores, thereby bringing the total to 36.75 crores.

On Tuesday, the collections were stable and the film could mint just Rs 4 crores. With this, the total of the movie has reached 40.75 crores, which means it is all set for the 50 crores club. If it earns 4 crores each on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, it will surely cross 50 crores.
Even in the overseas markets, the movie is performing well. This film has surpassed Gauri Shinde’s first venture “English Vinglish” in terms of collections. Yes, it could collect 40 crores in total, but “Dear Zindagi” has crossed 40 crores in just 5 days. Hope the movie continues this same pace.
