‘Shivaay’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ clashed at the Box Office this Diwali but didn’t show a good performance. Usually Diwali releases mint a lot of money, but this has happened for the 1st time in 6 years that in spite of being a Diwali release, both the flicks witnessed such poor numbers.
Diwali is considered to be an auspicious occasion for filmmakers and most of them have successfully managed to make huge profits over the years. In fact, in the last 5 years, movies that had a Diwali release proved to be ‘BIG MONEY SPINNERS’. Unfortunately, Shivaay and ADHM could collect just 28.56 crores and 35.60 crores respectively over the 1st weekend. However, Monday collections have a different story to tell. Shivaay has finally shown its power!

Shivaay saw a massive jump in collections on Monday. It garnered 17.35 crores, bringing the total to 45.91 crores. Now this is what we called ‘LUCK’. Until weekend, Shivaay was struggling, but it seems that now, people have realized that it is a gem of a Bollywood movie. With such awesome figures, it has almost neared the 50 crores club, which in fact is a great achievement for Ajay Devgn.
Day 1- 10.24 crores!
Day 2- 10.06 crores!
Day 3- 8.26 crores!
Day 4- 17.35 crores!
Total- 45.91 crores!
Now let’s talk about ADHM!

Even ADHM collections jumped from 9.20 crores to 17.75 crores on Monday. What a MASSIVE boost it is! People are crazy for romantic flicks and moreover, if it stars Aishwarya, it is guaranteed to be successful. With 17.75 crores, the total has now reached 53.35 crores! WOAHHHHH already a 50 crores club for ADHM.
Day 1- 13.30 crores!
Day 2- 13.10 crores!
Day 3- 9.20 crores!
Day 4- 17.75 crores!
Total- 53.35 crores!
