Dangal is garnering good responses from the critics and masses. The movie has broken many records and has become the 2nd highest opener of 2016 after “Sultan”. The film is being praised for its authenticity and it has indeed left the real inspiration Geeta Phogat in tears.
However, there was 1 scene in the film which Geeta said she didn’t enjoy. Do you want to know which one is it? Basically, it is the one in which Fatima Sana Shaikh wrestles with Aamir Khan.
Yes, speaking about that scene, Geeta said;
“I did not enjoy watching that scene a lot as I realized how I treated my father and that I started thinking that I am some pahalwan. I didn’t like that scene as I got emotional watching it.”
Further she added that her father used to test her often in the akhara. Speaking about that she said “It is not that I wrestled only once with my father, he used to often test us in the akhara. But I loved watching the entire movie.”
The best thing which Geeta liked about the movie is the genuine portrayal of wrestling on the mud, mat and the part where national championship was shown.
Talking about Dangal, Babita says
“We have seen the movie and it is 99% a true reflection of our lives and we loved it. I would like to thank Aamir sir and the entire team of Dangal for showing our story on the big scene.”
Even Mahaveer Singh Phogat was very touched by the scene in which it was shown that his daughters fight to hug him and sleep. He adds that
“I am very happy as the whole world can watch this movie. Parents who discriminate between a male & girl child, maybe their attitudes will change now. I will tell you about our state Haryana, earlier there was no akhara (training centre) for girls but after 2010 till today there are over 50 akharas for women now. So there is a change in Haryana and maybe in other states like UP & Rajasthan attitudes will also change after watching this movie. I love my girls a lot and gave them the same respect as is given to any male child.”
