The Pakistani cricket team and their fans are in the mode of celebrations after the finals of ICC Champions Trophy in which Pak defeated India by 180 runs to lift the trophy. The left-handed batsman Fakhar Zaman, who played an important role in the match, has been receiving love and awards of people for giving them the moment of pride and joy. Just to inform, Zaman scored a maiden century in the ICC Champions Trophy finals.
Just recently, Fakhar Zaman has been awarded 20 lakhs by Bilal Malik, son of Malik Riaz who is the owner of Bahria Town, Karachi.
Zaman was pretty instrumental in bringing back the Pakistani side in the tournament after the defeat that they tasted against India in the league match.
However, at the start of the tournament, he was struggling with his form so Ahmed Shehzad was given the chance but after Pakistan got defeated by India, Mickey Arthur chose Zaman in the next and since then, he made use of each opportunity that he got. All those who watched him playing in PSL were absolutely sure of his capability of scoring big and hitting hard and undoubtedly, he disappointed none of them.
Fakhar Zaman scored just 30 against South Africa but his contribution helped a lot when his side won by the DLS method. He scored half centuries against Sri Lanka and England but his best knock came against India in the most important match, which was the final.
Fakhar Zaman wants to make his people happy and proud by making his team win many matches and tournaments in the future. What’s more, he has to perform well in International cricket so that his performances in Champions Trophy are not termed as one time fluke.
