Much has been said about Sri Lanka’s mask act during a cricket match against India. The Sri Lankan team was alleged of using this method to stop the match and avoid losing against Team India.
The Team Sri Lanka was also heavily trolled on social media for doing such act to stop the match. However, what happened just now was just so funny.
Famous body cleaning brand Dettol has entered the game and have taken a jibe on Team Sri Lanka’s act. At the same time, they’ve promoted their product Dettol Siti Shield which is basically a smart mask to protect people from air pollution.
Sending out a reply to an earlier tweet by Sri Lanka Cricket, they wrote-
Hi, Your players are using a surgical mask which’s ineffective against the PM 2.5 particle pollution. If you’re serious, we’ll send you 11 Dettol Sitishield N95 masks (98% protection against PM2.5) so that there’s no reason to stop the game, and delay India’s series win 😉
