World number one wrestler Bajrang Punia has accused the Haryana government of not fulfilling their prize money promise. Taking it to Twitter, the athlete expressed his anger on cutting prize money promised by the Haryana government. He posted several tweets claiming that they are not getting the whole prize money.
He further stated that wrestlers from Haryana represent the whole country on an international platform and bring medals, cutting their prize money is demoralizing for them.
हरियाणा के युवाओं ने देश को कइ बेहतरीन मेडल दिए है।भले ही एक छोटा सा राज्य है हरियाणा,पर यहां के खिलाड़ियों ने पूरे देश को कइ बार गर्वित किया है।उनको मिलने वाली राशि में कटौती करके उनके मनोबल को न तोड़ा जाए।मेरी हरियाणा सरकार से विनती है कि इस निर्णय पर दोबारा विचार करे@mlkhattar

While angry Vinesh Phogat requested the state government to take the prize money back as it is not right to deduct it and disrespect the national level wrestlers. In her another, she wrote that the Priem Minister of India promotes sports and says a nation can move forward only when sports move forward but Haryana government is trying to finish sports.
