The Indian cricket fans were having gala time for past some time now as on one hand, they were watching the Indian national team clashing with the England cricket team in the 5 match T20 series and on the other hand, the former Indian cricketers were contesting against the former cricketers of Sri Lanka, West Indies, England, South Africa and Bangladesh under the Road Safety World Series which was played in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

It was certainly a great chance to relive the past by watching the great players such as Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, etc playing cricket again. What made the Indian fans happier was the fact that Indian legends won the tournament after defeating Sri Lankan Legends in the final. The Indian cricketers had a lot of fun while taking part in the series and on one instance, Yuvraj Singh pulled leg of Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara for their acting skills.

As the name of the series is Road Safety World Series, a video is going viral in which Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara are educating the people about the importance of wearing helmets while riding a two-wheeler. In the video, Sachin also says that not just the driver but pillion rider should wear the helmet as well because both the lives are important. Sachin Tendulkar also emphasised on the need of wearing correct helmet while driving as cricket helmets are not fit for riding.

Sachin shared the video on Twitter with caption,

Yuvi took a dig at the acting of the two legends by implying that they should be nominated for Oscars. He wrote, “Oscar Nominations”.

Talking about the final match that was played on Sunday (Mar 21), Sri Lankan Legends won the toss and they chose to bowl first. While batting first, India Legends posted a good total of 181/4 in the stipulated 20 overs with the help of smashing knocks of Yuvraj Singh who scored 60 in 41 balls (4 fours & 4 sixes) and Yusuf Pathan who made 62 runs in 36 deliveries (4 fours & 5 sixes). The Indian skipper Sachin Tendulkar also scored 30 runs in 23 balls (5 fours) and in response, the Sri Lankan team managed to score 167/7 in the 20 overs which resulted in the Indian squad winning the match by 14 runs. The highest scorer for Sri Lanka was Sanath Jayasuriya who scored 43 in 35 balls (5 fours & 1 six).

Don’t forget to wear a helmet while riding a two-wheeler!
