The Indian pacer Mohammed Shami is certainly one of the best pacers that the country has produced and recently he made a long lasting impact on everyone with his performance in the ODI World Cup 2023.
The pacer ended the tournament as the leading wicket-taker of the ODI World Cup 2023 despite missing the first 4 games of the tournament. Mohammed Shami took 24 wickets in 7 matches and surpassed Javagal Srinath and Zaheer Khan as he has become India’s leading wicket-taker in the ODI World Cup with 55 wickets.
Recently, the Indian pacer was awarded with the prestigious Arjuna Award, the second-highest sporting honour and after getting this highly esteemed award, Mohammed Shami made a heartwarming post in which he wrote that this award will inspire him to pursue his passion with great enthusiasm. He also thanked his family, friends and fans for the support that they have given him.

As of now, he is recovering from an injury as he hasn’t played any match after the World Cup 2023 but he will certainly ensure that he plays in the IPL 2024 and performs well in order to get a place in the Indian squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
