Social media is a great place to connect with people but sometimes just one photo is enough to create a lot of rumours and controversy and something similar happened with Asha Bhosle’s granddaughter Zanai Bhosle and Indian cricketer Mohammed Siraj.
A photo of Zanai Bhosle with Mohammed Siraj recently went viral on social media, sparking dating speculations. The picture was taken during Zanai’s 23rd birthday celebration, where the two were seen sharing a candid, cheerful moment. As the Internet buzzed with rumours, both Zanai and Siraj didn’t delay in clearing the air and informed their followers about their bond, emphasising a sibling-like relationship.
Zanai Bhosle addressed the speculations through her Instagram story by sharing the viral picture and captioning it with, “Mere pyaare bhai (My lovely brother)”. Mohammed Siraj re-shared the story, adding a heartfelt poem to affirm their sibling bond. His message read, “Meri Behna Ke Jaisi Koi Behna Nahin. Bina Iske Kahin Bhi Mujhe Rehna Nahin. Jaise I lai Chaand Sitaaron Mein. Meri Behna Hai Ek Hazaaron Mein.”
The photo that caused the stir showed Zanai in a black sequined dress, while Mohammed Siraj sported a casual look with a black tee and jacket. Their candid smiles fueled rumours but their Instagram stories have now put the speculation to rest.
Zanai Bhosle’s birthday celebration was a star-studded event, attended by several notable personalities. Among the cricketers present were Shreyas Iyer, Siddhesh Lad and Suyash Prabhudessai. Other pictures from the event featured actress and former Bigg Boss contestant Ayesha Khan, actor Abhay Verma of ‘Munjya’ fame, Jackie Shroff and Asha Bhosle.
On the professional front, Zanai Bhosle is preparing to make her Bollywood debut in “The Pride Of Bharat – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj”. In the film directed by Sandeep Ssingh, she will portray Rani Sai Bhonsale, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s wife. Alongside acting, Zanai is also a talented singer and dancer, with her first single Kehndi Hai slated for release on January 27, 2025.
