In the early hours of May 7, the Indian Armed Forces executed ‘Operation Sindoor’, a coordinated military effort aimed at dismantling nine terr@rist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. This strategic operation came as a direct retaliation to the recent terr@r attack in Pahalgam, marking a decisive moment in India’s ongoing battle against cross-border militancy.
The ripple effect of the operation was immediately felt far beyond the realm of national security. India’s cricketing fraternity, revered by millions, responded with powerful messages of support and national pride. Prominent figures from the world of cricket took to social media, uniting in their salute to the armed forces and reaffirming their stand against terr@rism. Their words struck a chord, blurring the lines between the stadium and the frontlines.
Among those voicing their sentiments was cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, who posted a message emphasizing the unshakable strength of a united nation and underscoring the idea that the true defense of India lies in the unity of its people. His words rejected terr@rism entirely, calling for a world free of such threats. Sachin Tendulkar tweeted, “Fearless in unity. Boundless in strength. India’s shield is her people. There’s no room for terrorism in this world. We’re ONE TEAM! Jai Hind”

Virender Sehwag, known as much for his bold batting as for his sharp wit, offered a message in Hindi that blended national pride with his trademark humor. His post, evoking the metaphor of returning a stone with not just a flower but the pot it comes in, conveyed a fierce endorsement of strength and retaliation in the face of provocation.
Viru Paaji tweeted, “Agar koi aap par patthar phenke toh uspar Phool Phenko, Lekin Gamle ke saath. Jai Hind”

Other cricketing stars like Shikhar Dhawan, Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, Umesh Yadav, Pragyan Ojha, and RP Singh added their voices to the wave of support. While Dhawan spoke of the collective resolve to stand firm against terrorism, Yadav’s message was a solemn and respectful salute to the Indian Army’s valor.
