The 77th Primetime Emmys Awards took place on September 14, 2025, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The night belonged especially to Adolescence and The Studio, which won many awards. Adolescence, a psychological crime drama, won six Emmys while The Studio, co-created by Seth Rogen, won a record-13 trophies, more than any comedy series has won in a single season.
A historic moment came when Owen Cooper, aged 15, won the Emmys for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, making him the youngest ever to win in that category. In major categories, The Pitt was named Outstanding Drama Series, while The Studio was honored as Outstanding Comedy Series. Seth Rogen also personally won in multiple categories including acting, directing and writing.
Other series that won multiple awards included The Pitt, Severance, and Hacks. Although Severance had the most nominations (27), it did not dominate the main prizes. The Penguin also had many nominations but fewer wins in the top categories. For The Studio, some of its wins were for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, Directing in a Comedy Series, and Writing in a Comedy Series.
