Both the players have been dealing with injuries and their availability remains uncertain, making this clash even more intriguing.

Mumbai Indians head coach Mahela Jayawardene shared an update on Rohit Sharma, who has been recovering from a hamstring injury. Rohit has played only four matches this season and missed the last four games due to this issue. Mahela Jayawardene explained that Rohit Sharma’s recovery is being closely monitored on a daily basis. The team is assessing how his body responds after each training session, especially the next day. The final decision on whether he plays will depend on how he feels and what the medical team advises closer to match time.

On the other side, Chennai Super Kings batting coach Michael Hussey provided an encouraging update on MS Dhoni. The 42-year-old has been out for around three weeks after suffering a calf injury before the season began.

Michael Hussey said that MS Dhoni is making steady progress and working hard on improving his running between the wickets, which has been the main concern in his recovery. While there are no issues with his batting or wicketkeeping skills, the focus is on ensuring he can maintain strong running intensity, especially during crucial moments late in an innings.
