Suryakumar Yadav may be one of India’s biggest T20 stars but even he has his eyes on a special skill possessed by 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. Suryakumar, who has scored more than 9,000 runs in T20 cricket, is India’s third highest run-scorer in T20Is. He made his India T20I debut against England in Ahmedabad in March 2021 and has represented the country in all three formats.
On March 8, 2026, Suryakumar Yadav also became only the third Indian captain to win an ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title. Vaibhav, who is 15 years old, has quickly become one of the biggest young names in cricket. After making an impact during his first IPL season in 2025, he played an important role in India’s U19 World Cup triumph in February 2026.
He then produced a sensational IPL 2026 campaign. Playing for Rajasthan Royals, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored 776 runs in 16 matches at a strike rate of 237.30, winning the Orange Cap. He also smashed a record 72 sixes during the tournament.
Suryakumar Yadav was clearly impressed by Vaibhav’s power-hitting and said that the youngster’s six-hitting ability was the one skill he would like to take for himself.
