Kashyap wrote, “Mamta didi wanted to resign but party rejected offer. Rahul Gandhi wanted to resign but party rejected the offer. We wanted to act dumb and believe it but our intelligence rejected it.. P.S. I didn’t want to tweet this but twiterrati rejected my intention.”

After PM Modi had a historic win in the recent Lok Sabha Elections, Gandhi decided to put resignation. Mamta Banerjee was also expected to resign from her post. However, both parties decided to not approve their resignation. Both leaders have been trolled on social media recently as the netizens have found this act amusing.

Anurag Kashyap was recently in news for indirectly criticising PM Modi and asking him to help him deal with his followers who send his daughter threatening messages. He tweeted, “Dear @narendramodi sir. Congratulations on your victory and thank you for the message of inclusiveness. Sir please also tell us how do we deal with these followers of yours who celebrate your victory by threatening my daughter with messages like this for me being your dissenter.”
