Akshay Kumar Thanks Wife Twinkle For His National Award! She Also Replied & Praised Him

There have not been many months when several celebs took to social media and criticized hypocrisy prevailed in the Filmfare awards, as they were of the opinion that the deserving people didn’t get an award and this naturally disappointed them to a great extent!

However, with the latest announcement of the 64^th National Awards which took place today, folks’ faith in awards seems to have been restored. We have already informed you that Akshay Kumar has won the award of the best actor for “Rustom” and he deserves it undoubtedly. However, it’s been after a long time that he’s got any award, as the jury didn’t seem to be very kind to him previously. In fact, Twinkle Khanna, his wife and former Bollywood actress, started taking a jibe at him, saying that it was good that he stopped going to awards functions because he never took home one.

Akshay lately took to social media and uploaded a video to thank his wife, family and friends for the immense support! Mentioning Twinkle in the video, he said,

“I will like to thank my wife Twinkle Khanna who used to tease me often as she said that it’s good that I have stopped attending award functions since I never returned with an award.”

Naturally, Akshay’s win made Twinkle very proud as well as emotional. She replied, “I don’t know if I am crying or laughing-emotions all over the place-So proud of you @akshaykumar you smart, humble, amazing creature!”
