If you are a regular social media and WhatsApp user, you must be aware of how thin the line is between real and fake here. Anyone writes anything and people spread it like a wildfire. Social media is basically full of baseless things which people start believing as facts.
Bahujan Samaj Party’s social media influencer Devendra Jarariya recently posted a tweet and claimed that Amazon is selling the original ashes of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
He basically shared a photoshopped image which looks like a screenshot taken from Amazon’s website. It says that Vajpayee ji’s original ashes along with a copper Kalash and a book on Narendra Modi’s life is being sold at 10% discount. Amazon user reviews were also given.
When we did a bit of research, we found that no such product is listed for sale on Amazon.
In fact, a Twitter user named @yoyomodi1 had replied on his post saying that the image is fake and he only had created it.

Going through his profile, we found that it was the same user who made this picture viral.

What more? Devashish deleted his tweet later. In the screenshot given below you can see that the parent tweet is not there.
This is yet another evidence that you must not believe in everything on the social media. Always go through the deep details, get the facts right and then believe it.
