The former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu has been continuously taking a dig at Royal Challengers Bangalore after the Bengaluru team lost the eliminator to Rajasthan Royals and failed in winning their first title even after 17 years.
Ambati Rayudu is a former CSK player so it is quite obvious that he is a little upset with RCB defeating CSK in their last league match and knocking them out of the tournament.
During the live show on the IPL final night, Ambati Rayudu once again started a controversy as he said that when a team has a stalwart like Virat Kohli who is setting really high standards and wants others to follow the same, it becomes a little difficult for the youngsters as they are not able to match the standards.
Kevin Pietersen interrupted Rayudu by saying that it is actually good for the youngsters.
Rayudu continues by saying that sometimes it becomes a burden for the youngsters to perform like Virat Kohli when in reality nobody can be like him.
The sports presenter Mayanti Langer asks Rayudu if Rajat Patidar hasn’t stepped up for his team and in response, Rayudu stated that Patidar can be himself only and not Virat Kohli. He added that the RCB management needs to understand that there can’t be 11 Virat Kohli in a team, they can have one Virat Kohli and 10 other players who have their own strengths and weaknesses and they should be used as resources.
Ambati Rayudu explains further that no player can be expected to win the title in the first season, he should be given time to grow as a match-winner and the RCB management needs to work in this regard and Virat Kohli also needs to go a little easy and lower his standards so that it is easy for the youngsters and they can be nurtured.
Ambati Rayudu has left no chance of criticizing the RCB management and in one of his tweets, he went on to say that the franchise has preferred the individuals over the team because of which they haven’t won any IPL title till now.
