The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is certainly the richest cricket board of the country and it pays the Indian cricketers in a handsome manner. Recently the Indian cricket board announced the list of the Indian cricketers who have been awarded with the annual contracts for the 2022/23 season.
While the Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja who has played an important role in India’s win in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 has got promoted and KL Rahul who has been stripped of vice-captaincy has been demoted. Sanju Samson, the skipper of the IPL team Rajasthan Royals has got the annual contract for the first time and this is certainly good news for his fans who are constantly demanding his inclusion in the Indian team.
The players who are included in the A+ category are – Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja; these cricketers will be paid Rs. 7 crore per year.
The players who are included in the A category are – Hardik Pandya, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Axar Patel and Rishabh Pant; these cricketers will be paid Rs. 5 crore per year.
The players who are included in the B category are – Cheteshwar Pujara, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Mohammed Siraj, Suryakumar Yadav and Shubman Gill; these cricketers will be paid Rs. 3 crore.
The players who are included in the C category are – Umesh Yadav, Shikhar Dhawan, Shardul Thakur, Ishan Kishan, Deepak Hooda, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Sanju Samson, Washington Sundar, Arshdeep Singh and KS Bharat; there cricketers will be paid Rs. 1 crore.
Now all these cricketers will be seen in action in the IPL 2023 which is starting from 31st March 2023.
