Bihar Education Board Failed A Class 10th Girl Twice. Fined Rs 5 Lakhs After Getting Proved Wrong

Bihar School Education Board has done it again. The board which handles the school education system of Bihar is in news for a bad reason again.

Reportedly a class tenth girl named Priyanka Singh was declared “Failed” in two subjects Sanskrit & Science by BSEB.

The girl was of course shocked “but” not taken aback by the results. She was sure that her exams had gone well so she filled the re-evaluation form.

The board screwed up again and results remained unaffected. This made the girl and her family furious who then approached the High Court to take the matter ahead.

HC asked them to submit fees of Rs 40,000 which she will not get back if the results were negative even in the 3rd attempt. The fearless girl showed the confidence.

Another re-evaluation was attempted under the eye of HC and finally the Board was found on the fault.

It was learnt that the girl had really answered her question paper well and was finally awarded 80/100 marks in Sanskrit and 61/80 in Science.

The Board admitted its mistake later and had to shell out Rs 5 lakhs as a fine which was apparently given as the appreciation to the girl.

We wonder if BSEB will finally learn from its mistake or will continue to do such blunders.
