CBSE Class 12 Maths Paper Made Students Cry; 250 Petitions Supported By 25,000 People Filed

The CBSE Class 12 Mathematics examination paper was so tough and lengthy that it left many students crying. Most of them with their parents have resorted to Change.org platform and filed petitions, requesting the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to show generosity while checking the answer sheets. Nearly 250 petitions have been posted which are getting the support of around 25,000 people.

The Change.org stated, “Hundreds of anxious Class 12 students and their parents have started petitions on Change.org appealing the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to show leniency in evaluating the Mathematics paper that concluded yesterday.”

The petitions were filed by a number of students from Chennai, Kolkata and many other cities but the biggest petition which has 12,500 signatures have been started by a Guwahati student.

This is what the Guwahati student wrote in his petition, “CBSE has broken the dreams of several students by setting a paper which was meant for IIT aspirants. This year CBSE Maths Paper was tough as well as long and has made several students cry. CBSE should come out with a statement immediately to take care of their mental agony which will help them to concentrate on their next exam.”

The matter was taken up by many parties in the Lok Sabha also and the government too has agreed for an investigation on the allegation that paper was leaked. MP from Congress, K C Venugopal and RSP MP N K Premchandran stated that the majority of the questions in the paper were out of the syllabus and “very difficult”. Additionally, they said that as per media reports, paper was leaked in Patna.
