1. Punakha Dzong

It is an administrative centre in Punakha, Bhutan. Punakha Dzong was constructed by Ngawang Namgyal. He was the 1st Zhabdrung Rinpoche. Since it was constructed many years earlier, it’s the second oldest and second-largest dzong in Bhutan. Also, it is one of the most iconic and majestic structures.

Punakha Dzong is one of the most amazing and fortified monasteries. Its relic is important because it has witnessed multiple wars over the years with Tibetans. This Dzong has a special importance in the hearts of Bhutan’s Locals. 

2. Buddha Dordenma

Bhutan is an important religious and cultural centre. In books, you will often see an image of a Buddha Statue that symbolises Bhutan. It is the Dordenma Buddha statue. It’s nestled between the Mountain of Kuensel Phodrang Nature Park.
