The Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik has been making news for all the right reasons as his performance in the ongoing IPL 2022 has been impeccable and he has played an important role in the campaign of Royal Challengers Bangalore. Dinesh Karthik embraced the role of a finisher in a pretty good manner and there are some instances in which he has taken out RCB from the cliché of defeat and taken the team home as a winner.
DK had earlier expressed his wish to play for India once again in the shorter format as he wanted to play the role of a finisher in the team and yesterday his wish got fulfilled as his name was included in the team which will play 5-match T20I series against South Africa.
This was certainly a great moment for DK as the 36 years old wicketkeeper-batsman is making a comeback after almost 3 years because the last match he played for India was the semi-final of the World Cup 2019 which India lost to New Zealand.
As Dinesh Karthik’s name was announced in the 18-member squad, he took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and made an emotional post. He shared an image of himself in the blue jersey and wrote, “If you believe yourself, everything will fall into place! Thank you for all the support and belief…the hard work continues…”

On the other hand, RCB also left no stone unturned in making this moment special for DK and fans as it took an interview of the cricketer in which he stated that he is very, very happy and this is probably the most special comeback as a lot of people had given up on him.
RCB posted the interview with the caption, “We spoke to @DineshKarthik, soon after he was named in the Indian T20I squad for the SA series, and he spoke about his self-belief, hours and days of preparation, and the role RCB played in him staging a comeback, only on @KreditBee presents Bold Diaries.”

In the IPL 2022 so far, DK scored 287 runs at a strike rate of 191.33 and in the video, he also expressed his gratitude towards the franchise for showing faith in him and buying him in the auction. RCB spent Rs. 5.5 crore for buying Dinesh Karthik and he is certainly justifying this decision.
Hardik Pandya has also made a comeback after performing superbly in the ongoing tournament but Rohit Sharma won’t be leading the team as Hitman and Virat Kohli have been rested while KL Rahul will be the team’s skipper for this series.
All the best Dinesh Karthik!
